[1] Ba River Bridge – an ancient bridge over the Ba River¸ which was a common place for people to say farewell during the Han and Tang Dynasties. In Three Kingdoms, is it said that General Guan said farewell to General Cao Chao on this bridge.

[2] Xu Chu – (? – 230) was a warrior who lived during the late Han Dynasty and Three Kingdoms era of Chinese history.

[3] Cao Cao (155 – 220) was a warlord and the penultimate chancellor of the Eastern Han Dynasty who rose to great power during the dynasty’s final years.
